Doberai Private Island is a Indonesian owned private island in heart of Raja Ampat, Indonesia. Our islands is 70ha size private island where privacy for the guest is quaranteed.
For activity’s we have kayaks and stand up paddles for our guests use and it is also possible to do small trekking around the island with guide too. Snorkling in our house reef is amazing and you can jump into the crystal clear waters from you bungalow terrace.
We started our own Coral re-planting project so while in the island you can snorkel and check out our new coral garden!
Also we provide day trips to our guest to famous snorkling sights and islands viewpoints (additional cost). With our boats you can discover amazing Raja Ampat easily and hussle free.
Raja Ampat is the most well kept secrets in Indonesia and truly as amazing as they say. Pristine clear waters, untouched nature and white sand beaches makes this place a paradise.

Doberai Private Island tours
Piaynemo
This full day tour will take you to see the most known landscape in Raja Ampat, Piaynemo. Picturesque Piaynemo is around two hours boat ride from Doberai Private island and located in the middle of the ocean. At Piaynemo guests need to climb ~300 wooden steps to reach viewpoint at the top. After picture taking guests can also take a look star shaped lagoon next to Piaynemo and enjoy lunch in beautidul location. After lunch is time for snorkeling!
Kali Biru
This half day tour will take you to explore Waigeo islands well kept secrets. Swim in crystal clear natural springs and enjoy beautiful landscape of Waigeo.
After Kali Biru we continue to take lunch at Friwen island and go for a snorkling.
Kaliraja
Tour to historical Kaliraja takes you to see beauty of Waigeo island. Kaliraja is just behind our Urai island, in Kabui Bay. In Kaliraja tour you can enjoy beautiful sightseeings in boat,
trek to view point and take picture of small mushroom shaped islands called Batu Pencil.
Hidden bay
This half day tour will take you to see beautiful Hidden Bay of Gam island. Cruising through big passage with our boat and explore hidden gem of Raja Ampat.
Sandbank & Arborek
Raja Ampat´s most known sandbank is called Pasir Timbul. Pasir Timbul is wide sand atoll just next to Kri island.
Village of Arborek is fast rising as a pioneer among the 18 beautiful villages in West Papua. Finding underwater beauty is not difficult in Arborek.
Along the Arborek pier, divers can simply just plunge into the water and discover unbelievable marine life.
Yenbuba & Sawundarek
Yenbuba is best known as a place where you can spot turtles and big fishes. Yenbuba village is located at Mansuar island.
Sawundarek is one of the greatest places for snorkling in Raja Ampat area.
Friwen & Mioskon
This snorkling tour will take you to see some of the most beautiful snorkling sights in Raja Ampat. Both snorkling sites are just about 20 minutes boat ride from Doberai Private island.
Wayag
Wayag is the most iconic landscape of Raja Ampat. Wayag is known for its beautiful atolls and amazing underwater life. Here, you find pristine beaches with unique karst islands that look like mushrooms sprouting out from the sea. Wayag is located middle of the ocean around 3-4 hours from Doberai Private island.
Tours are available for any size of groups. Our small boat fits guest up to 6 people and big boat up to 10 guests.

History of Raja Ampat
The name of Raja Ampat means the four Kings. Raja Ampat islands are archipelago comprising over 1,500 small islands, cays and shoals. Surrounding the four main islands of Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo.
It is said that the name of Raja Ampat comes from local mythology and legend. Story tells about a woman who finds seven eggs. Four of the seven eggs hatch and become kings of four main Islands, Waigeo, Batanta, Salawati and Misool. Other 3 eggs become a ghost, a woman & a stone.
Composed of 1,500 islands, this unspoiled paradise offers an exceptional and wonderful scenery above and below the seas. Raja Ampat’s underwater life is one of the best and it’s natural beauty, lush jungle, sandbanks and shallows are really unique.
Raja Ampat Regency is a new regency. Which separated from Sorong Regency. In 2004. It encompasses more than 40,000 km² of land and sea. Which also contains Cenderawasih Bay, the largest marine national park in Indonesia. It’s a part of the newly named West Papua (province) of Indonesia which was formerly Irian Jaya. The islands are the most northern pieces of land in the Australian continent.
